Agreed, dogs are mans best buddies and his most faithful companion. However, this is not their inherent nature. They need to be trained to have these qualities. Hence whether you are talking about that lovely newborn puppy or a friendly old neighborhood dog, they are not familiar with the rules of the house immediately.

If you have bought your puppy from a well-known and a dependable breeder, the dog will have a strong basics that you can use to train him in the lessons he must learn.
In many ways, it’s like raising children, although in a much shorter span. But how you raise your puppy teaches more than basics like sit, and kneel. It provides the way he responds to things around him.
Basic commands may be taught in the home, however, if you plan to take your dog outdoors with you where he will encounter strangers, his timidity must be overcome. Your pet should be socialized early in life in order to show good behavior around others.
